The Repercussions….

( A short story ….. DATED 13 november 2007 to till date)

The misty morming of november, its 7 AM and I am still on my bed with blanket over me. Its a real nuisance, if you can see my room in morning. Its hard to disuss the hell, but let me try this, pullover on the maroon carpeted floor, the late night coffee mugs on the study table with few taints on the table, the cushions over the Television set, and one shoe is below the table and god knows where is the second shoe, the door of the cupboard is semi closed and some of the notebooks and books are tending to move out of it, some of the special engineering books are well placed in the cupboard, because I hardly touch them, but coming to the same point, the scattered newspaper are lying in the room everywhere some parts are on my double bed, some on the study table and even some on the floor. The search in the morning for few things is a daily routine as such my Mp4 player, mobile, watch, pair of socks and the pair of shoes. The CAT books, the su-dokus, the series of Shakuntala Devi, Word Power Made Easy-NOrman Lewis, the question series of CL,IMS,PT and all was on the study table looks like a small plateau on a very small base. The same base shares the coffee mugs, pens, mobile chargers and lot more irrelevent things in the world. But this is my life and I love it.

This is a daily routine, my mom wake me up at 7:30 AM with the cup of tea along with some rebukes for keeping my room so neat and tidy. The morning is the best part of the day, I took my cup of tea and move towards balcony to pick the newspaper and I take arround 15 minutes in having that cup of tea. The very good thing about The Times Of India is DELHI TIMES. I hardly have much time to look on to front page, I am more eager to see astrology and some very good actresses in very very good clothes. The day take a better scene after this mesmersing moments with some of my good girls. Sometimes the sun plays the hide and seek in clouds, and that creates a wonderfull niche for having the cup of tea along with my virtual girls.

The cup of tea ended up soonly, but the life still goes on, I have to put the cup back in kitchen, but I rarely do the same. I put it back on my study table. My mom used to say, ” saari duniya kaa kooda is study table par hi milta hai!! ( all the waste material of the world could be easily found on this study table) .” I have a very simple answer for that,” I am sorry maa, but I do love my room like this.”

After all this melodramatic enchants of the morning I do some good excercises for the forth coming exam like playing sudoku and solving those rigor problems of the logical reasonings and then solving a mock paper daily at the very same time of CAT. I was going more into the chasm of each and every problem daily, a great endeavour to get the success out of the box. After solving the mock paper I decided to move to my proper place of writing to write the very last chapter of the my book, ” Search is on…. ” I ordered a chai, betterly known as tea, but I love calling it chai with matthi, so that Arvind, the small boy at the tea shop, who is my freind by now, could get the chai and matthi. He was from a very poor family and have no other solution than working at the tea stall. I am against of child labors, and I do believe in Sarya Shiksha Abhiyaan, even tough I was not able to help him to get out of that tea stall, but I started teaching him at the same stall, some three months back. By this time, when my book is on verge of completion, Arvind could read and write and can do additions upto two digits. On the same day, when I completed my book, along with the cup of tea and as I thrown the completed cigarette away, Arvind came to me and said,” Sir, this is yours bill .. ” in stammered english and calculated everything in front of me. It gave me the moment to cherish upon. I was extremely happy by this and I decided to meet the boy after CAT exam once in week and paid the bill and moved away from there on foot.

The D day is approaching soonly, just 4 days to go, and I was having no problem in any thing, over confidence ruins you sometimes, mind it. The course of the day was up to date from past 5 months, Quant, English, DI( data interpretation), LR(logical reasoning) and everything was getting in the soul and a special thanks to my parents, freinds, my loved ones, my teachers; who helped me for each and every moment.

The fastest runner in the world, time, left everything unanswered in my life. Those two and half hours of the exam was’nt looking like two and half hours. It all ended up so soonly. The concept of relativity comes here. If someone is having some good time with a beautiful lady, then an hour seems like a second and if the same man has to sit on the burning coal, than a second seems to be the whole life. All those beautiful moments of CAT exam ended up soonly, and I was bit reluctant after the exam, quant was too tough, in comparison by last year and there were no questions of logical reasoning, my strengh area. It was like a nightmare and I was sure that I would not get call from any IIM’s. All the hard work was in vain on the same day and I was out of the reverie of studying in IIM-A along with all IIM’s.

On the very next day of CAT, I went to the same tea stall and ordered Tea this time, not CHAI, because I thought Arvind can understand the meaning of Tea by now. I ignited the cigarette and waited for tea and did’nt found Arvind near the tea stall. Then I made an inquiry to the owner about the Arvind, He said,” He moved back to his village because of some personal problems.” In the mean while I saw a new boy of age arround 11 or 12 coming towards me and said,” Sahab, chai .”

I sat back on to the bench and completed my chai, not tea, along with matthi. After completing my tea, I smiled back towards that new boy and decided never to go back to that tea stall. The life was coming back to the track.

The anger of the CAT exam, Arvind’s family was getting some cool back. I decided to work for me only and will live for my family and my love, and decided to talk to her regarding my love. I loved her for all her silly, idiotic talks. Her love for Shahrukh khan was a bit tolerable, but when her love was distributed among one more guy along with Shahrukh, it was not a matter to keep the cool. But I dont blabber for the wrong things, if it is like this, then this is that. I cant edit the thinking of others for all my stupid needs.

I hardly question the god’s justice and astrological stars for all wrong things. I thank them, for all the good things which they have given me, viz. freinds, family. The CAT result took a long time to come up, but I was a bit satisfied or dissatisfied by the result, only 91, even tough I was expecting it to be somewhere arround 93 or 94.

But the justice is only for the good lawyers or liers. Neither I am a lier nor a lawyer, so getting the justice is tough job for me. But I think one girl, one exam, one bad day, one Arvind, turning the chai into tea and again tea into chai, is not the solution for all the things. Life still goes on, CAT is never the end of life nor does my love.

Today I recall my journey of the past few days and not to feel the bad disguise. But to collect all my courage and sincere hard work for CAT 2008 and I promise you all to get the success out of this repercussion. I will never ever loose my enthusiasm, obstinate nature for just few things.

Still, when I switch off the light of my that dirty room, some where I listen to the repercussions of the indesired soul, to just meet Arvind for more days, to score more than 99 in CAT and to get the love of that idiot fan of Shahrukh Khan.

Operations Research

Operations research is a branch of mathematics which uses statistics, mathematic models, logic, analytical skills, algorithms to obtain the optimum feasible solution for a complex problem, which could range from a diverse nature from maxima to minima. The maximization of profit, yield, sales, etc; and minimization of costs to company, transportation cost, lowering the risk.

Operations Research is not only a subject of maths, but in short, it is an art and science for the cost optimization. The fields of operations research varies from industrial engineering, mathematics, stastics , market research and upto in infinite dimensions.

The very basic tools of Operations research are game theory, simulation, queueing theory, statistics, graph theory, optimization, transportation problems, linear programming, probabilty,PERT, CPM, etc.

The problem is not a new term for any organization and hence operations research. If there is a severe problem in any organization, they would surely try to make use of operations research. One of the most important tenhnique for a problem solving, otherwise, the problems could be very cumbersome for the organization.

SCOPE:

* Design of the layout of the company.

* Roboticizing or automating human-driven operations processes.

* Road traffic management and ‘one way’ street allocations i.e. allocation problems.

* Optimum transportation cost, by making use of matrix arrangements.

* Used in military applications to render the informations in coded/decoded terms, so as to save the communication from leakage.

* The best way to control the inventory of the organization.

* Managing the flow of raw materials and products in a supply chain based on uncertain demand for the finished products.

* Globalizing operations processes in order to take advantage of cheaper materials, labor, land or other productivity inputs.

The Related fields with Operations Research could be:

  • Industrial Engineering
  • Industrial organizations
  • Management science
  • Managerial economics
  • Search Based Software Engineering
  • Simulation
  • System Dynamics
  • Systems theory.

The study for a subject is always vast and it grows day by day, so everyone must have to be in touch of the subject till death. Find the solution for the problem and be an operational analyst. The most interesting subject, till date, would surely reach all its heights in few years, even tough, its a very new concept in India.

Where is Gateway Of India ?

( First Sci-Fi attempt. Tough job to do but what to do .. )

2933 AD. Three freinds Alec, Mike and Ted planning to move to INDIA for their vacations and gathered at Hethrow London, for the Alexia Super Sonic Aviator which take only two hours to reach IGI Delhi. The value for time is all what every one is carving for. All three freinds had an I-pod with capacity of 1 Yotta Byte and dimension of 20*80*10 mm^3, with the flat video version and the language used all over the world is only english, its the aftereffect of 3rd world war held in 2545AD with the issues of globalization, liberalization and shortage of bipetrolem product. No one has the petrol car and very few of the people have a diesel cars, well this diesel is not naturally produced one, its a man made diesel by jatorpha plants. The transesterification of plants made a short chain of alkyl esters which in turn made into a bio diesel. But no one purchases the diesel cars now, they are outdated with very low 10,000 cc only with a bhp of only 2000 KW, they dont produce high speeds even. They trust the brand name “Xilia” now a days, which very rare Indians have.

The three freinds are coming to watch the beautiful India, which is famous for its TAJ MAHAL, for its special mild yellow color, rare thing to see and Red to Black fort. I was theirs guide, who will help the three freinds to stroll in India and would tell them about the Indian culture and ethics. Now the langauge of India is not Hindi, nor even English, We only use slangs.

The three came to IGI and called for a taxi for the Radisson-20, 20 symbolizes the time of renovation it has undergone, one of the oldest hotel in India. A Merc- class C came with digital electronic meter, mind it guys, its a taxi and nothing more than that. They just came to the hotel and got the room. The girls, in two piece,  at the hotel counter welcome the tourists to the hotel. And after some moments I reported them and planned to take them to the tour of Delhi on the same day. Started the Cab on same date after 3 hours of rest with the beer can to chill the mind, because of immense weather problem, max temp of arround 54 and minimum 41 degree celcius, its all a ill effect of global warmimg. We reached the Red Fort, which seems to be black in color now, because of level of air pollution, which made the red fort seeming black in color. There was less greenery and the Chandni chowk is not the place for marketing now. They asked me about what happened to Chandni chowk. So, I told them it was a matter of 21st century when some politicians destroyed the market for a single game, called commonwealth arround 2010, which was the biggest flop show for the Indian government, which not only made the market of chandni chowk out of the map of delhi, but few more good markets were destroyed then and you know they take arround 15 hours to travel between Delhi to London. All of the three young boys were astonished by this statement and simply replied back,” Were they Illiterate, Idiots?”

Now is the time to use the nitroxides to speed up the vehichles and cop will make a challan for low speeding. If some one is driving below 140kmph, he will be fined for the same. The things in the common man’s life is not easy now. We used only cab to travel through all north India, the trip of delhi to jaipur will be made into 45 minutes by Cab, because there is no traffic lights and because of use of smart highways, the concept of this is brought into an American Scientist known as ” Amandya Cylus”. The sensors are on the roads which check the speed of each and every vehicle and note down the number of each car to send the bill of toll tax, which would only be payable by paypal and nothing more than that. We finally moved Jaipur and from Jaipur, we moved to haridwar to get some Hashish by the modern baba’s with the glasses on and the saffron color jeans and spikes. Haridwar is no more famous for Ganges, its fomous only for its drugs and the mountains. We moved to Agra from Haridwar to see Taj Mahal, the speciallity of Taj Mahal is its mild yellow color, which is very rare to see now a days. Its ranked number one monument even now for its all glory and prestigious past. But the look of Taj Mahal is not the same as it was somewhere in 22nd century, the condition get worsed day by day. The Taj is not white now, because a lady called Mayawati selled the Taj Corridor to some britishers after becoming the prime minster of India in some 2015 AD. The Britishers started gear manufactured plant in that area which lead to the pollution in area and the Taj lost all its charm. But what to do, this is even number 1 now.

We finally moved to West India started from Ahmedabad CG road, Iskon temple, IIMA, we hardly took an hour to travell there, but I took some break from them to meet some my relatives over there. And moved back to them in no more time and finally moved to Mumbai and they were roaming near Sea, Alec any how asked me where is the Gateway of India?

It gave me the idea Alec must be a student of History, who stills knows about Gateway of India. I take the matter into consideration and replied him back ,” Indian government has settled the Gateway Of India Below the Arabian Sea. It was taking lot of space in the open area. So we took the initiative to settle it down.

But the main logic of Gateway of India sinked out in Arabian Sea is just because of Global Warming. The depletion of ozone by excess carbon di oxide and methane lead to the global warming, which in turn depletes the ice layer at Antartica, made the level of water go up day by day and hence by this date We have lost our Gateway Of India. And the logic behind the temp of 54 degree celcius is even the same.

Save The World ( Be United against all pollution problems)

Need Vs Greed

Posted by sandeep sinha on January 11, 2008

85% of the world’s money is only with 10% of world’s population. The same patterns goes in all perspectives of life. And this pattern is always like this. The pattern to go up, to work, pay, get up, go to work…. . The pattern of world’s 90% of population. Their lives are then run forever by two emotions, fear and greed. Offer them more money, and they continue the cycle by also increasing their spending. This is what I call the RAT RACE. Believe me, they will never ever be the Rich.

The idea of getting rich is not with all souls, only because of their greed. Running behind the unkown profits of life; money matters ; these unknown profits will run more far away from you. If you start running behind money, money, money all the time, it will never ever be with you. It will run more faster and one could never chase it back in the same speed.

Rich people dont work for money, money work for them. The need of making money is always in soul of very few, but the greed of making money is always with larger percentage of population. Thats why, the larger percentage of people satisfy themselves whevever a small profit or return comes to them and they stagnate their further moves in lives. And stagnation is always end of the life. If you are satisfied at any stage of life, then you should quit living.

Making oneself impeccable is never possible, only becouse of the perception level. For instance, think you have a good car, a good farm house at the country side and having a sip of tea sitting in the lawn of the farm house and if nothing is running in yours head. Then, excuse me, you dont have any right to think in the same position. You cant be at that place. The need is father of all inventions, creations. I need money, so I will create more ideas to earn money and a limitless money. Nothing can satisfy me with all the glory, fame, money. the need for me is always limitless and greed could be satisfied. I know I am running far from conventional ideas of need and greed.

But those who have lateral thinking, have all perspectives with them. Whatever we do, we should do in best way to get the best out of us.
